Sponsorship and Donation details.
As you can imagine raising funds is always a problem and we are always
hoping new persons will help the children in ways suitable to the
individuals involved. Here are some suggestions. We are very flexible and if you
want to do something else let us know and it will be considered.
Sponsorship
Children at the Orphanage range from Primary School to Senior High
School.
At the moment the money need to pay for a child for a year is:
Senior High School

This money is paid in advance once a year.
So as to ensure the money is properly used the Orphanage is visited
every 3 months. Projects are decided photos taken and approximate costs
calculated. Next visit we make sure the project was completed and see
the receipts and proof of the actual cost. At his time also the money
for individual children is given to them. They have their own bank
account and are responsible for paying their own school fees etc. Each
child keeps a book in which all in-goings and outgoings are shown. This
helps them learn to be responsible and of course enables us to know if
they are using the money well and sensibly.
Donations
From time to time people just want to give a ‘one off’ donation of a
set amount. These are always gratefully accepted.
You can specify a use….
For education, for a particular project such as furniture or health.
One person who felt that on going commitment was a problem started the
‘Health Fund” Money is put into this each year and children who are sick
can be taken to the doctor or bought medicine immediately. This has led
to quicker recovery in the case of illness and less scars from infected
cuts and scratches.
Any amount is always welcomed large or small.
